What is the hCG Diet?
Posted by admin on Apr 28, 2012 in Health and Fitness | 0 comments
With many new trends in dieting every year it can be hard to keep track. Most diets simply aren’t worth trying and offer limited results. One diet, however, seems to work wonders for most people who try it. The hCG diet combines a low-calorie diet with oral or injected treatments of hCG to speed up your metabolism and give you truly fast weight loss.
HCG, or human chorionic Gonadotropin, is a natural hormone that’s present in the human body, although it’s produced in very high amounts in pregnant women. This hormone is often used to test for pregnancy and controls metabolic function. In non-pregnant men and women, a number of studies show that hCG actually increases the body’s metabolism, just as it does for a pregnant woman. This hormone has the ability to release calories stored in fat which are then used by the body or expelled as waste. The very low calorie diet is combined with the hCG treatment to prevent the body from reabsorbing the fat.
The hCG weight loss diet helps the average dieter experience quick weight loss with an average of 1 to 3 pounds per day. The hCG protocol is designed to target unwanted fat and works to modify the dieter’s actual relationship with food as well. After the diet you’ll experience long-term weight loss by changing your eating habits.
Today, a number of clinics and spas in cities throughout the United States and elsewhere offer the hCG diet, Miami in particular. Research shows that small injections daily of hCG, usually between 125 and 200 IU, is enough to see an average weight loss of 1 to 2 pounds per day when combined with a very low calorie diet. Because the diet requires the care of a trained specialist or spa technician, it’s important to consult with a trustworthy spa in your area to learn more about an hCG weight loss treatment and maintenance program.

The number one reason people are afraid of going to the dentist is the pain and discomfort associated with the visit as well as the invasive nature of the appointment. In some cases, anesthesia is an absolute necessity due to pain but more and more sedation dentists are open to using sedation solutions for less severe procedures to reduce pain and patient anxiety.
If you struggle with a strong fear of going to the dentist, sedation is your best option to keep your dental hygiene in check without suffering the emotional repercussions. When you go to a sedation dentist in particular you will find that everything about the practice is made to you feel more comfortable. Going to the dentist doesn’t have to be something you endure; it doesn’t have to be a terrifying event.
There are several options for choosing pain relief during dental procedures. A local anesthetic such as Novocain or Lidocaine is injected by needle into various points in the mouth for temporary numbing in the afflicted area. Your dentist will swab an anesthetic over the injection site before inserting the needle so you don’t have to feel that nasty prick. This is the most commonly used dental anesthesia when it comes to relatively simple procedures such as filling cavities.
The next level of sedation is called conscious sedation. This is helpful for patients with dental anxiety as it involves administering an anti-anxiety medicine well before the local anesthetic is applied and the procedure commences. The focus here is to calm the patient enough to get through the appointment.
True sedation is often referred to as deep sedation and is a more severe procedure than other options. This level of sedation is required for complicated and extremely invasive procedures. It can also be used for patients with special needs, including severe dental anxiety that cannot be resolved with other less dramatic solutions.
A state of deep sedation is brought on by applying a general anesthesia that makes the patient completely unconscious. You will be so deeply relaxed while reclining in the dentist chair that you will most likely be unaware of your surroundings. Instead, you’ll be in your head with a blissful, cloudy consciousness only vaguely aware of the work being done in your mouth.
There is only one concern for using general anesthesia and it expands beyond the dental field. Anesthetics are infamously unpredictable at times and can have unexpected reactions in patients. Make sure to talk to your medical doctor about the procedure before choosing a deep level of sedation.
If you’re terrified of going to the dentist, you need to look into sedation dentists in your area. It is sometimes called sleep dentistry because the patient is fully unconscious and reaches such a deep level of relaxation. Imagine being able to just nap your way through your next dentist appointment!

The worst thing, and most certainly the hardest thing about dealing with anxiety is that in most cases it is extremely hard to learn how to cure anxiety, and even harder to realize that you are suffering from the condition in the first place. In fact, many people can go on for as long as decades without realizing that they are suffering from panic and anxiety before they are able to take action, mainly because they get conditioned over time to believe that what they are feeling is completely normal.
The big problem is that many sufferers believe that the feelings that they are experiencing in this very moment are absolutely normal, because even though they may feel good or bad, they are conditioned to that feeling as they have been experiencing it for some time now. This is where it becomes dangerous, as most sufferers simply can not grasp the idea that they are suffering from anxiety or panic. This is also why so many people go for so long without diagnosis, or getting any kind of help from their doctors or their psychologist. Understandably, these types of conditions can be quite dangerous.
At the end of the day, what we know about anxiety and panic is that it is caused by feelings and emotions that cause fear adn panic, triggering a release of adrenaline as a self defense mechanism. As more time passes, it becomes extremely hard to be able to track down the original thoughts and feelings that cause panic attacks, especially as these issues bury themselves deeper as to protect the sufferers normalcy. This is what creates the biggest challenge for long term sufferers of Anxiety.
At the end of the day, the most important part of how to cure anxiety is not simple. It sounds it, but it is far from it. You need to be able to first make the realization that you are a sufferer, and when I say that, I’m not saying that you should be forced to believe it, but you need to realize it with your own mind. You then need to be able to face the feelings that cause your panic and anxiety to occur in the first place, and realize that these feelings can not hurt you, and especially are not worth feeling threatened by.
To wrap this up, let me say that of all mental conditions, there are no other conditions that are as dangerous as what Anxiety can be. There are many avenues for you to go down if you feel that you need more help, there are many programs that you can become involved with, plus there is always your GP who can help get you a referral to speak to a psychologist. Just remember that long term help is a long term commitment. These types of illnesses do not go away in a heartbeat, they are a long term battle that comes with its rewards. First though, you will need to be brave, and you will need to face your situation head on, and remember, there is help when you need it.
