Don’t Increase Physical Education Requirement

Although increasing the requirement of physical education to four years can potentially reduce obesity rates, the students education rates will dwindle, and the lifestyles of the students at home will ultimately stay the same. Instead of focusing on the shape of the students, you should be focusing more on the students education so they can do well in the future, and perhaps even get a job at an Orange County website design company. Increasing the amount of required electives will handicap the students learning and not affect their health in a positive way in the slightest.
To start out, the education of many students will fall drastically since an elective spot is taken up with a physical education class. Even with 1.5 credits required for physical education, many students are stumbling in their education. In education today there is an achievement gap that compares the disparity between groups of students. For example, in an article about achievement gap it states, “The achievement gap shows up in grades, standardized-test scores, course selection, dropout rates, and college completion rates among other success measures.
